T-Nakameguro restaurant had one huge piece of beef shared by thirteen people over twelve courses. The type of beef is called Omi beef....

Omi beef is a premium Japanese wagyu beef from Shiga Prefecture, known for its fine marbling, tenderness, and rich, sweet flavor. It is one of Japan's top three wagyu brands, alongside Kobe and Matsusaka beef, and boasts a history of over 400 years, making it the oldest wagyu brand in Japan, according to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.Â
Our place settings had the twelve course meal planned by the chef written out with our name at the top. The staff was introduced one by one. We were shown the name of the animal and it's pedigree. Every course was preceded by an explanation and presentation of the ingredients involved. From abalone and black truffles to caviar every bite was the best it could be.

At the end of the meal we learned that a fellow guest was celebrating a win at a bodybuilder competition. It didn't take much to get him to take off his shirt.

I want to thank our friend, Lyn, for making this experience possible.
